Self-presentation:
Jym Fair aka Pixylight began his VJ-ing career in 1995, projecting psychedelic imagery for "ShakedownStreet", a Grateful Dead cover band based out of Manitou Springs, Colorado. In 1996, Pixylight became aware of the need for visuals within the electronic music scene..
Along with Avery Runner, (AKA DJ ElfArrow) and Doug Lefae, (AKA VJ Archetype) Pixylight began to produce more metapysically based outdoor events, which were the first in Colorado to integrate DJ's, live PA's, and live video mixing, as part of the electronica music scene.
The highlite event of this association, collectively known as "SpaceDub Vibrations," was 'Psychic Chakra', an electronic audio/visual festival, which brought VJ's out from all around the United States.
Grant Davis, (VJ Culture) was the main VJ headliner for event, and this being one of the first US VJ festival's, it brought together many VS's, and many enduring friendships were made.
Pixylight also closely works with EarthDance and London-based live video collective
inside-us-all, and has establishes many international performances. Alpha Code, a joint A/V production with DJ Elf Arrow, premiered at the largest VJ event in Europe that year, 'VideA2001' in Barcelona, Spain, before Alpha Code hit TV stations in Germany and the United States.
Pixylight also performances as 1/3 of Merkabalah, an A/V performance group, that has
performed at many festivals in Canada and the US..
Pixylight is currently working on an A/V sample libary, which he plans on using with the Electronic music that Merkaballah is making..
