Matt Finke:
From the first day I came across using video as a lighting scenario tool, I knew that this would be the future, that soon video would be included in all kinds of show creation, for events as well as stage performances.
I had my first experiences with ArKaos about 4 or 5 years ago and I still trust it for all kinds of productions. At Loop Light, we are familiar with all kinds of video playback systems: there are a lot of very good products on the market but we have decided to use ArKaos VJ DMX on our productions mainly because of its stability and its impressive cost-effectiveness.
In fact, ArKaos VJ DMX offers so much compared to its price, we purchased several licenses and installed the software on our notebooks as well as on our production machines.

We already had built our own DMX controllable ArKaos devices quite a while ago, using DMX to MIDI interfaces, and therefore the release of ArKaos VJ 3.5 DMX, with its “DMX Fixture Mode”, has made things much easier on us. ArKaos VJ DMX is now clearly more than a competitor as DMX controllable video-playback systems.
Another key feature of ArKaos VJ is its cross-platform compatibility; some of us at Loop Light trust PC’s while others prefer Mac’s. Thanks to ArKaos VJ DMX everybody can work on his favorite platform while still being able to share projects and experiences. This is absolutely a key feature for us. |
