external Hard drive

Postby lighttch » Mon Nov 17, 2014 5:53 pm

I have a solid state Hard drive that I want to use to run all my media. The computer recognizes the hard drive, but Grand VJ does not. It is a USB3 drive and I am running 2.0.3. I use my laptop some and a tower some depending on the show. It would be nice if GrandVJ would recognize external drives. I would like to keep both my show file and media on this drive, so as I update the show I don't need to keep rebuilding it on each computer.

Thanks,
Andrew

That's odd, if the drive is recognised by your hardware GVJ should be able to read from it.
Can you give details of drive type, operating system, etc?
Does system give it a drive letter? (If Windows).
You will still be limited by USB3 bus speed to around 70Mb/s actual read speed.
