general blending

Postby pjwassermann » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:32 pm

Is there a possibility of setting up VJ in such a way that there is always a soft blending between every video and still that gets triggered?

For soft music all these hard cuts are too hectic.

I don't want to set a fade effect on every key as there are already other effects assigned.

I hope I made my question clear, thanks in advance.

Soft blending

Postby vjwest » Mon Aug 18, 2008 3:17 am

I'm a newbie wandering around trying to work out the most productive way to use the Arkaos site - just spotted your very interesting post (about image dissolve on control)

I too would like to use more soft blends (dissolves) between selected stills or video. It would be doubly nice to be able to vary the rates of dissolve

On shows I have produced in the past i've use 16 and 32 second dssolves on certain imagery. I love them (in the right place)

Your original post was some time ago - so i hope someone will be willing to help.

Perhaps there is a way that Grand VJ can be configured to perform this selective "image dissolve on" (i would like to be able to assign a rate of dissolve to a key on a midi keyboard)

Cheers

Which modes are you using for Arkaos? I am using it with an SGM Pilot 2000 DMX Controller and have set the scenes to change in fade times which make my visuals dissolve and fade concurrently.

That is the thing guys, you have to use a controller for that.

eithere dmx or midi controller. depending on what version you have.

i my self have dmx versions, which is the way i am used to useing arkaos (LD).

if you do not have dmx version, look through the midi post.
and the are a lot of videos on utube, for arkaos.

cheers
