How did you get the lights to work! I use an APC 40 and still haven’t figured it out!

You can’t.. yet.
We’re updating GrandVJ so that it can communicate with the APC40, gladly the guys at Akai did cleverly design this controller so it’s a pretty straightforward modification and it should be available in the next update.. Stay tuned :)

I recently picked up the apc40 for use with GrandVJ after using the Ohm . . . I can’t wait for GrandVJ to “talk back” to the controller. . . need any beta testers?

Any update regarding the visual feedback between the Akai APC40 and Grand VJ. it would really make a difference in a dark club to see the lights feedback whats triggered on the screen.

Chris, make sure you have the latest version of GrandVJ, first connect the APC40 and ensure it’s correctly recognized by your computer, then launch GrandVJ. Go to the Preferences, select “Akai APC40″ in “MIDI Inputs”, “MIDI Channels” should be set to “Omni”, select “Akai APC40″ in “Feedback unit” for both “Feedback type” and “MIDI output”
